The renovation on this Greenwich Village apartment created an interesting opportunity to combine two existing apartments and the hallway connecting them into one open space. With the additional space it was important to create a logical layout for the privacy of the parents and the children, while maintaining an open plan. Connecting the two apartments naturally created two wings with the living, dining and kitchen areas in the center of the space and the bedrooms flanking the public areas. The pallet for this design remained consistent throughout the space, mainly navy blue and white to create contrast with pops of bright colors to make the space more lively.
